Black Sea Mnemiopsis
Database Workshop
14 October 2010, Istanbul, Turkey
The third workshop was organized with the support of the Permanent Secretariat of
the Black Sea Commission (BSC/PS) in Istanbul back to back with the 15th Meeting of the
BSC Advisory Group on Conservation of Biodiversity. The workshop discussed following issues:
- Review of the data and metadata loaded in the database;
- Plans on updating of MLDB software;
- Compatibility of the data from different sources loaded into the database;
- Brief information on the data collected last year;
- Further improovement of the Manual on Sampling and Sample Processing of the Invasive Ctenophores and other gelatinous organisms;
- Action plan for 2010 - 2011.
Partucipants of the workshop, representing the Individual Sources of Data,
agreed to reduce further restricted period of access to data from 10 to 5 years.
